My primary role involves the preservation and curation of pathogenic bacterial strains. This includes strain identification and long-term storage using two methods: liquid nitrogen freezing and vacuum sealing in glass ampoules (lyophilization).
I serve as the lead specialist (focal point) for:
Antibiotic Susceptibility Testing (AST), determining strain sensitivity in accordance with CA-SFM (Comité de l'Antibiogramme de la Société Française de Microbiologie) guidelines.
Bacterial identification and the creation of reference spectra using MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry (Biotyper – Bruker).
I also take part in field strain collection and the provision of specialized services.
